Ghorepani trekking is one of the most famous paths en route to Annapurna region. GhorepaniPoonhill trek offers you beautiful views of Himalayas. Furthermore, you will know the culture and religion of Gurung and Magar ethnic group by visiting their village and seeing the beautiful view of the rhododendron forest and snow-capped mountain. This trekking will take you through the west of Pokhara and which offers splendid views of the Himalayas lying in the Annapurna area. You can get astonishing sights of sunrise and appreciate unbelievable panoramic views of the, Mt. Annapurna I , Mt. Annapurna II , Mt. Annapurna III, Mt. Annapurna IV , Mt. Annapurna south , Mt. Dhaulagiri , Mt. Manaslu,Machhapuchhare , Mt. Hiunchuli, Mt. LamjungHimal, Tukuche peak , Tilicho peak among others.
On the second day, after having your breakfast, we will travel to Pokhara. Your journey passes beautiful hills, landscapes, rivers, farm terraces, and gorges. On reaching Pokhara, you will have a sight-seeing of the Pokhara.
We will travel toNayapul from Pokhara – which is a 1-hour drive. After that we take a walk along the bank of the Modi Khola for about 15 minutes, we will reach Birethanti village. We will continue our walk till we reach Tikhedhunga which is at a height of 1570m.
From TikheDhunga we will ascend to the Magar village Ulleri, at a height of 2080m and then to Nangethanti. From Nangethanti our hike will be up to the Ghorepani. Ghorepani offers a spectacular view of Dhaulagiri I, Annapurna I, Nilgiri, Hiunchuli, and more.
We will have an early morning hike to Poon Hill which is at a height of 3210m. This hill is the best point to see the close range of the Himalayas with 8000m peaks like Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, and Fishtail. After seeing the spectacular view, we will return to Ghorepani for breakfast and then continue our journey to Tadapani.
On the way to Pokhara, we will visit Ghandruk, which is well known for Gurung People and their cultures. We will go down through dense forests of Ghandruk to the Nayapul. From Nayapul we will be heading to Pokhara.
